Attention: Parents of high schoolers
We help high schoolers master coding and how to use AI in 90 days.
Your child gets a private mentor, a structured roadmap, and finishes with a deployed application they built from scratch - not another group class certificate.
Watch to learn how CodeLaunchAcademy works
Sound familiar?
The wasted screen time
Your child spends hours on their phone every day. Gaming. Scrolling. Watching other people build things. You know they are smart enough to be on the other side of that screen - creating, not just consuming. But right now they have no direction.
The failed attempts
Maybe you tried a group coding class. They sat in the back, copied code they did not understand, and lost interest after a month. Maybe they watched YouTube tutorials for a week, hit a wall, and gave up. Nothing stuck.
The worry about the future
AI is changing everything. You know your kid needs to understand technology at a deeper level - not just use apps, but understand how they are built. Every year that passes without real skills is a year behind.
The interest with no path
Your child actually wants to learn. They have said it. But they do not know where to start, and you do not know how to guide them. They need a mentor, not another course.
Why this is different
This is not tutoring. It is a private mentorship that turns beginners into builders.
Three things that separate this from every group class, Wyzant tutor, and YouTube playlist your family has tried.
Your student learns from someone who builds real software. Not a TA reading slides.
Your child absorbs habits, shortcuts, and mental models that only come from working with someone who ships production code daily. That means they learn how to think through a problem the way a real engineer would - not just memorize syntax. By the end, they can walk into a technical conversation, an interview, or a college admissions meeting and actually talk about how software works.
Your student follows a clear path. Not random topics every week.
Every session builds on the last so your child never feels lost or behind. By week 4 you get a written progress report showing exactly where they stand. By week 8, they are building their capstone. By week 12, they have deployed a working application to the internet. You always know what they are learning and how far along they are.
Your student finishes with proof they can build. Not a certificate.
When the program ends, your child has a live application at a real URL and a GitHub portfolio with clean, documented code. That is something they can link on a college application, show in an interview, or hand to an internship manager. It is the difference between saying they are interested in CS and proving it.

Start with 90 days. Continue if your student wants to go further.
Most families start with Tier 1. If your student catches the bug and wants to keep building, Tiers 2 and 3 are there. No pressure to commit beyond the first tier.
Tier 1
From Zero to Deployed
Python
Your student goes from writing their first line of code to deploying a real, working application that lives on the internet. Variables, conditionals, loops, functions, OOP, file I/O, APIs, Git, and GitHub. AI is completely banned for the first 4 weeks to build real muscle memory. By the end, they have shipped a capstone project and started a portfolio that matters.
- First deployed application within 6 weeks
- GitHub portfolio with clean, documented code
- AI introduced as a tool, never as a crutch
- Capstone project live at a real URL
90 days
24 sessions, 2x per week, 1 hour each
Tier 2
Algorithms and Interview Prep
Java
For students who finish Tier 1 and want to go deeper. Static typing, Big-O, hashmaps, linked lists, trees, graphs, recursion, dynamic programming, and sorting algorithms. All in Java for AP Computer Science A and USACO. AI is banned during problem-solving because struggle is where real learning happens.
- AP Computer Science A exam readiness
- USACO Bronze and Silver preparation
- 50+ algorithmic problems solved
- Mock technical interviews with feedback
90 days
24 sessions, 2x per week, 1 hour each
Tier 3
Full-Stack Engineering
TypeScript / Next.js / FastAPI / PostgreSQL / Docker
For students who want the full engineering experience. Build and deploy a production-grade application with a real frontend, backend, database, authentication, and cloud hosting. CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, error tracking, and system design. The kind of project that lands internships.
- Production app deployed to the cloud
- Full-stack portfolio piece for applications
- Industry tools: Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS
- System design thinking for interviews

24 sessions, 2x per week, 1 hour each

How to get started
Three steps. No commitment until you are sure.
This process makes sure we only work with families who will get real results - and that your student is set up to succeed from day one.
01
Free discovery call
30 minutes. We learn about your student's goals, current level, and what they want out of computer science. No sales pitch. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you and point you somewhere better.
30 minutes, no cost, no commitment
02
Paid diagnostic session
A 90-minute technical assessment with your student. We evaluate skills, learning style, and determine exact placement. This is not a test they pass or fail. It is a placement tool. The fee is credited if you enroll.
90 minutes, credited toward enrollment
03
Start building
Your student is paired with their mentor and starts Tier 1. Twice a week, one hour each. You get your first written progress report in 4 weeks. Within 6 weeks, they will have deployed their first working application to a live URL.
First deployed app within 6 weeks
Common questions
Questions parents ask before enrolling.
Limited availability
We take on 8 students at a time. That is the cap.
Every student gets a dedicated mentor for all 24 sessions. That only works if we keep the roster small. When spots fill, the next opening is 90 days out.
